Most people think loving rabbits and getting tattoos as two separate hobbies. But Craig Evans wanted them to be one. Why not? It’s hard to argue against a tattoo of a rabbit as a cute way for a grown man to show a softer side. Right?

What if he got a lot of them? What if he got enough to break a world record? Does that make things less cute? Even creepy?

“I love the aesthetic of a rabbit,” Evans told Guinness World Records. “They’re such cute creatures, and the juxtaposition of getting something so cute as a tattoo, which is usually renowned for being a tough person’s thing, is something I really like.”

Cute.

It’s sort of endearing – even sensitive and thoughtful – that the man clearly loves rabbits. Of course he should be able to get some rabbit tattoos – at least enough to commemorate any pet rabbits he owns.

Evans doesn’t own any rabbits.

Creepier.

“Unfortunately, I don’t have any pet rabbits as I have a terrier called Bertie. I don’t think that would be a good pairing, but I love him very much,”

Craig Evans

Currently the only proof that Bertie exists is that the dog is the subject of his only non-rabbit tattoo, but even that tattoo shows the canine wearing a bunny bandanna to “keep the theme running.”

Ok.

I guess that brings up the proverbial question – how many rabbit tattoos equals one red flag? I’m sure there’s a sensible way to figure this out. Maybe a good place to start is to find out how may rabbit tattoos Evans currently has.

Turns out he has 69.

I’m sure that’s just a coincidence.
